Dragoon Sabre
Dragoon Sabre circa 1840. This heavy cavalry sword is styled from the Ames Sword Co. pattern. A hand guard of solid brass, wire wrapped grip. Although recognized as an Union Sabre, it was carried by both the Union and Confederate armies early on in the war. Overall length of 41”, 35” carbon steel blade. Steel scabbard included.
